Announcements
Announcements are messages your district posts for staff. They appear on everyone's home dashboard, targeted so people see only what's relevant to them.
Who this is for: everyone sees announcements; admins and champions post them.
Where you see them
Announcements show in the Announcements tab on your home dashboard as cards - a title, a short message, an optional longer write-up behind Show Details, any attachments to download, and who posted it and when.
Who sees an announcement
Because announcements are targeted, an announcement appears for you when all of these hold:
- You hold an assignment at one of its target sites - or it targets no sites (everyone).
- You hold one of its target roles - or it targets no roles (everyone).
- Today is within its Start On / End On window (leave End On blank for an open-ended notice).
Posting an announcement Admin / champion
People with permission create announcements from Work Items → Announcements.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title * | The headline on the card. |
| Description * | The short message shown on the card. |
| Show More + Details | Turn on Show More to add a longer, formatted write-up shown behind Show Details. |
| Start On / End On | The window it's visible. Start defaults to today; leave End blank for open-ended. |
| Fiscal Year | The year it belongs to (defaults to the current one). |
| Sites / Roles | Optional targeting - leave empty to show everyone. |
| Attachments | Files staff can download from the card. |
